CB1 has 511 en-suite rooms split between three accommodation blocks. There are 112 self-contained studio apartments with their own kitchenette, shower and toilet. The remaining rooms are all single bedrooms with:
Some rooms are adapted for students with specific needs, for example wheelchair users, or medical requirements.
If you live in a standard room, you’ll share a kitchen/living area with three to ten students. You’ll have bar stools to relax on, plus a fridge, freezer, microwave and cooker. The kitchens don’t include kettles or toasters. You could buy kitchen items after you arrive and share the cost with your housemates (see What’s in the room and what to bring).
If you live in a studio apartment, you’ll have your own kitchenette in your room.
As well as homes, the CB1 development includes a range of shops, restaurants and bars. It’s close to the railway station and a short walk from Cambridge Leisure Park which has a cinema, bowling alley, gym and more.
At CB1 you’ll find bicycle storage and a launderette. However, there isn’t any car parking on site.
Please see our halls and houses comparison chart for more information about CB1 including upfront costs, rental prices and contract lengths.
