In your own words, tell us about your sporting achievement or upcoming challenge.

I have just completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. This challenge is made up of climbing Pen-y-Ghent (2,277ft), Whernside (2,415ft), and Ingleborough (2,372ft) in one circular route, covering 25 miles in under 12 hours.

I did the challenge for charity, raising money for the Meningitis Research Foundation – a charity close to my heart, having had the disease myself when I was 18.

The challenge went well. We had tough weather conditions. Very heavy rain, gales, and thunderstorms. Some of the ascents were tougher than I expected. Some very steep climbs on very slippery rocks made for some genuinely scary moments! But we made it and the views were stunning.

What would you say to someone to inspire them to follow in your sporty footsteps?

It's important to push yourself, and the sense of achievement, once you complete your goal, is very rewarding.

Go out there and be your own inspiration, you'll be surprised at what you can achieve.
