Background

Naguib received his degree in Mechatronics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2004, followed by a master in Manufacturing Technology from Swinburne University in Australia in 2007. He worked in PROTON, an automotive company in Malaysia, for two years as a product quality planning and supplier quality. His work involved conducting product quality planning and working with suppliers to ensure that their products met PROTON's specifications.

After working for two years at PROTON, Naguib joined UNIKL, MIDI campus, as an lecturer. Over the course of 14 years, he held various positions, including head of section and deputy dean for student affairs. Naguib has conducted research in several areas of engineering, with a particular focus on Kalman filters and materials testing. He has published numerous papers on these topics and is regarded as an expert in this field. His PhD dissertation, completed in 2021, focused on the use of Kalman filter for nonlinear systems.
