Anglia Ruskin receives award at Times Higher Education ceremony
It’s official – Anglia Ruskin University is the Entrepreneurial University of the Year 2014.
Staff received the award at the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London last night, beating off competition from University College London, the University of Central Lancashire, University of Chester, Kingston University and Teeside University.
In the THE’s citation read when the award was announced, Anglia Ruskin was praised for its MedTech Campus, one of the world’s largest innovation spaces, the work carried out by the Degrees at Work team and the support provided by subsidiary Ixion Holdings to 5,000 start-up businesses.
Anglia Ruskin was also praised for its commitment to local and regional partners as well as its appointment of entrepreneurs in residence and student enterprise champions.
