Hi, my name is Jade Day, I’m 24 and I’m studying Adult Nursing at our Chelmsford campus.

I have been married for nine years to my childhood sweetheart and we have a two-year-old daughter together. I have been a carer for my mother throughout my adolescence and volunteered for a while last year on an orthopaedic ward, which really cemented my decision to become an adult nurse.

I’m trying to get as involved as possible right from the start by signing up to be a student ambassador, volunteering myself as course rep for my facilitated group and getting involved with the Stop the Pressure campaign the University is currently working on – and now I can add blogging to my list!
