BA Illustration students named in AOI’s top ten 2020

Congratulations to graduating Illustration students Jodie Howard and Megan Dymock, who have been selected as two of the Association of Illustrators’ Top Ten Students to Watch 2020.

Established in 1973, the Association of Illustrators is the professional body for illustration in the UK. Our BA Illustration course is a member of the AOI, ensuring our students get access to crucial industry information, career guidance, and other opportunities like this one.

Every year the AOI work with Universities all across the UK, and this annual list represents the ten students whose work has really stood out to them. So to be picked for it takes something very special indeed.

Megan was chosen for her photographs that use 3D sets made from intricate paperwork, with careful attention to lighting, to celebrate the beauty of the everyday. Jodie’s work consists of illustrations and animations that use gouache and coloured pencil – in particular her observational drawing book, which explores the relationship between light sources and figures at night.

We wish Jodie and Megan all the best in their careers, and can't wait to see their future creations.
