This workshop focuses on the value of key datasets as drivers of enhancement at course level and how that data relates to student outcomes, in particular data on ‘good degree’ outcomes, significant patterns in module marks across courses, DAP data, data on retention (including reasons for withdrawal and the impact of recent initiatives aimed at enhancing retention) and DHLE data on graduate destinations. The workshop includes a general introduction to Qlikview, and the Course Performance Model. The workshop will also consider the value of external examiner reports as a source of focused course enhancement, and the role of Course Leaders in liaising with externals and their input into drafting the University’s responses to their formal annual reports.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a mobile smart device (e.g. tablet or laptop) with them.
