Every year, we award a number of academic merit scholarships to international students who are starting a course at ARU.
You should be applying for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Our PG Dip Legal Practice Course is also included.

Please note: For postgraduate research students this scholarship will be applied each year that you are required to pay full international fees for a maximum of three years. For other qualifying courses, you will receive a £1000 or £2000 scholarship towards your total course fee.
This scholarship does not apply to part-time, distance learning, Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma courses or students joining a Master’s with credit.
We will automatically consider you for this scholarship when you apply for your course. Notification of your scholarship amount will be included in your course offer letter.
The International Alumni Scholarship of £3,000 aims to support those who have gained an Anglia Ruskin University degree to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree at ARU.
We will automatically consider you for this scholarship if you have successfully completed an Anglia Ruskin University degree and are applying for either a full time taught Masters course, a full time research degree or the Legal Practice course.
Please note: For postgraduate research students this scholarship will be applied each year that you are required to pay full fees for a maximum of three years.
For other qualifying courses, you will receive a £3000 scholarship towards your total course fee. This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarships or the £1,000 early payment discount, and does not apply to part-time, distance learning, Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma courses or students joining a Master’s with credit.

The discount is available to first-year undergraduate and postgraduate taught students, who are studying full-time.
The deadline for the September 2018 intake has now passed. The deadline for students starting their course in January 2019 will be Friday 23 November 2018. You will need to simply pay full tuition fees for your first year, minus the £1,000 early payment discount, by 5pm on Friday 23 November 2018..
Alternatively, pay full tuition fees for your first year by 7 September 2018 to qualify for a £400 discount.

Students applying for an undergraduate award should have achieved ABB grades or above at A-level (or international equivalent qualification). Students applying for a postgraduate award should hold a 2:1 degree qualification (or equivalent international qualification).
As well as looking at academic excellence, we’re interested in why you want to study at ARU, your career goals, work experience, and relevant activities you take part in outside of your studies. We’ll ask you to complete an application which will include a supporting statement when you apply for the scholarship.
This scholarship is available to full-time students studying a bachelor or postgraduate taught level qualification for a duration of 3 years or equivalent time taken to complete the qualification (foundation and extended degrees are exempt).
The total value of this scholarship is £4,000, which you’ll receive in your first year of study.
