About this event

We are pleased to invite you to the Inaugural Lecture of Dr. Sanjiv Ahluwalia, marking his appointment as a professor at Anglia Ruskin University. The event aims to inaugurate Dr. Ahluwalia and introduce the theme of his first lecture, "Education and Service intertwined."

Dr. Sanjiv Ahluwalia is a General Medical Practitioner with a unique focus on understanding the impact of clinical education on patient care. Graduating from the University of London in 1994, he completed his training at the Royal Free Hospital and Barnet Vocational Training Scheme in 2000, subsequently serving as a GP in Barnet since 1999.

Since 2002, Dr. Ahluwalia has played a crucial role in clinical education, initially as a GP training programme director and, most recently, as the Regional Postgraduate Dean for London. His extensive educational contributions encompass managing postgraduate medical training programmes, collaborating with service providers on workforce and educational transformation, and spearheading interprofessional education initiatives.

The focus of Dr. Ahluwalia's research lies in exploring the intricate relationship between clinical education and patient care/outcomes. Join us for an insightful evening as we delve into this intersection and celebrate the academic milestone of Dr. Sanjiv Ahluwalia at Anglia Ruskin University.
