We're supporting Mental Health Awareness Week with a drop in information hub and free workshops throughout the day. Pop in and gain tips and advice on stress management, relationships, peer support and more.
10am – Stress Management Workshop by Health in Mind
This workshop will focus on positive wellbeing and strategies for managing stress. It will cover areas such as: tips on having a balanced lifestyle and good sleep routine, identifying and challenging negative thoughts, and managing worry.
11am – Relationship and mental health by Marriage Care
The focus will be on how relationship can affect mental health and how the state of mental health can affect relationships. It will also include the importance of preparation for a marriage and understanding the impact of marriage and family on a person’s life.
12pm – Behavioural change for Mental Health by Fitness in Mind
The Fitness in Mind approach to creating sustainable behavioural change for better physical, mental and social health using sport and peer support.
1pm – Introducing the mental health peer support group by Rethink Mental Illness
The session explains the benefits of mental health peer support groups and introduces people to the idea of starting their own support group.
2pm – What’s self-love got to do with it? Learning Self-Acceptance by Changing Life course Training and Coaching
Self-acceptance is a big part of the healing journey for those of us struggling to cope. Learn tools and techniques to begin to make peace with yourself, starting from where you are now. Gain insight into barriers you unconsciously put up and learn how to being to release the, for the next chapter of your own growth and development.
