Applications invited for the Science & Innovation Strategy Board

Attention all ARU scientists. The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) is inviting applications to its key scientific advisory board, the Science & Innovation Strategy Board (SISB), which is the main source of advice to NERC Council on science-related issues.

These two-year appointments will start in September 2015, with a possible two-year extension, and could be an excellent platform for academics to influence strategy and voice opinions on current issues in science.

NERC welcomes applications from a range of candidates from all backgrounds and from across all sectors of its diverse communities.

You can nominate yourself, or if you're not particularly keen, you can nominate someone else for membership. To apply, please complete the appropriate sections of the SISB application form, and return the completed form, a CV listing significant accomplishments, and a list of recent publications (if appropriate) to swindongdsadmin@nerc.ac.uk.

Closing date: 13 July 2015.

Interviews for a shortlist of candidates will be held in London and are scheduled for 2-3 September 2015. Member induction will take place on 9 September 2015 in Swindon and the first meeting will take place on 22-23 September 2015.
