The Medical Research Council seeks to support multidisciplinary, collaborative teams of researchers through its Partnership Grant programme.
Applications to this scheme are assessed by the standard mode MRC boards, so read all the information on these boards before applying. Applicants must also contact the MRC Programme Manager to discuss their project ideas and ensure their fit to the scheme.
Partnership grants do not fund conventional research projects - "stand-alone, hypothesis-driven research" - instead they fund between one and five years' activity in support of collaborations: infrastructure, platform activities and the like.
