ARU Research Services is delighted to announce that the Faculty of Medical Science has won the University's first ever US federal grant.
United States federal funding is notoriously difficult to secure, particularly for lead organisations outside of the 50 states, making this win a significant triumph and setting a precedent for future bids.
The winning academics, Chesmal Siriwardhana and Shannon Doherty, have received funding from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to explore the needs of internally displaced persons affected by emergencies. We extend our congratulations to Chesmal and Shannon, and the Faculty of Medical Science, for this hard-won success.
