At Cambridge School of Creative Industries, we want your portfolio review to go as smoothly as possible, so we've put together these pages to help you prepare for it.
We want to see preferably 10-15 pieces that best represent your work interests, and show your passion, engagement, and curiosity, as well as an open mind.
More specifically, we are looking for:
For this course, we'd like to see a selection of your creative work.
If you do have film work, we would like to see your best 5-10 minutes of film. We are also happy to look at photography, design work or perhaps other media.
If you don’t as yet have a creative portfolio you can consider doing a story told in eight still images.
For our Visual Effects Technical Art course, we'd like to see a selection of your creative ideas and projects.
It could be a digital portfolio that showcases your interests and skills in the areas of either art, creative media, creative coding/scripting, film, animation, gaming, or design. You'll be given the option to book a meeting to discuss this with us.
You will be asked to provide a digital portfolio for review. Please email [email protected] (home applications) or [email protected] (international applications) with a link to your video or recording, or a compressed PDF of your image work. Include your name, the course you're applying for and student ID number.
Please host any videos on a video sharing site such as YouTube or Vimeo - you can set them to 'unlisted' and send us just the link. If you are unable to share your videos via a video sharing site please use a file sharing service such as Google Drive or Drop Box. If you do, you need to ensure your file is less than 1GB.
