Our online courses take place every month and cover topics from digital literacy to open educational resources to copyright and Canvas. Most only take a few minutes every day to complete and you gain a digital badge that you can add to your LinkedIn profile.

The Centre for Innovation in Higher Education was launched on Tuesday 10 July in Cambridge. Our Vice Chancellor, Iain Martin spoke at the event as well as Professor Pauline Kneale of Pedagogic Research Institute and Observatory (PedRIO), Plymouth University. Over 60 guests attended. Students can see data on the average earnings by subject for each higher education provider on the Unistats website. New data from the Longitudinal Education Outcomes (LEO) dataset links student data with data from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs and the Department of Work and Pensions to create an extensive dataset of graduates working or claiming benefits in the UK. Jisc has responded to the government’s industrial strategy. The strategy notes that “within two decades, 90% of jobs will require some digital proficiency, yet 23% of adults lack basic digital skills.” Read Jisc’s response.
The Office for Students requires higher education providers to demonstrate continuous improvement by delivering activities that are demonstrably effective, strategically focused and evidence-led. Read more about why evidence and evaluation matter.
