Overview

Our course will enhance your understanding and knowledge of how to care for a patient spanning both the acute and chronic respiratory spectrum. It will enhance your understanding as to the complexity of Respiratory Diseases/ illnesses, and will increase your knowledge in relation to current assessment and management options. Finally you will have an increased understanding as to the importance of working with other members of the multidisciplinary team and consider the impact of living with a respiratory disease upon patients, carers, families and the NHS.

This module is primarily intended for registered nurses working in areas such as respiratory wards, thoracic surgery and critical care areas.

To access this course, you must:

  • be a registered nurse with at least 1 year’s experience
  • have at least 6 months’ experience in a respiratory and/or thoracic setting.
