Why study PG Cert Practice Educator (Social Work)?

Gain the knowledge and skills you need to supervise and assess social work students within the workplace.

Already have an ARU degree? You may be eligible for our Alumni Scholarship for students starting postgraduate courses.

Our PG Cert Practice Educator (Social Work) course is designed for UK-based social workers registered with Social Work England and have at least two years practice experience, to enable them to become an effective practice educator in their professional setting.

During your studies, you’ll explore the process of practice learning environments that embrace diversity of learners and demonstrate anti-oppressive, anti-discriminatory and anti-racist practice, in promoting effective outcomes in the service of our communities. You’ll also reflect on your own experiences to integrate the theory you learn with your practice in the workplace.
