Sports scholarships

We take great pride in the fact that some of the most talented sports men and women in the country choose to study here. We also understand how difficult it can be to balance the demands of competing at the highest level with a full academic life when you first arrive at university.

To help with this, we offer the opportunity to apply for a scholarship worth up to £1,000 a year for three years if you’re competing at regional, national or international level.

Each award is tailored to suit individual needs and is given as a package that combines high quality performance support services with fantastic facilities to provide support that will add value to your existing training programme to help you achieve both academic and sporting success while you’re here.

In return, we ask that you compete for Anglia Ruskin University in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitions and championships, continue to fully commit to academic studies and help us to promote sport to others at Anglia Ruskin. Every year we take a number of sports scholars to compete in BUCS Nationals.

We have four high-performance sports at Anglia Ruskin: judo, basketballcricket and volleyball
