Former Anglia Ruskin student part of Travel Photographer of the Year exhibition
The work of a former Anglia Ruskin University student forms part of the prestigious Travel Photographer of the Year exhibition currently on display in London.
Bruna Brandão's photograph, which was taken in Essen in Germany's Ruhr region, received an "Honourable Mention" from the Travel Photographer of the Year judges.
The 23-year-old studied photography at the Cambridge School of Art as part of the Brazilian Government's Science Without Borders programme, and has now returned to her native Brazil.
Her successful photograph was taken as part of her "Process to Practice" module at Anglia Ruskin, and more examples of her work can be found at www.bruna-brandao.com
Bruna, who lives in Belo Horizonte, said: "I'm honoured to be the only Brazilian showing at the Travel Photographer of the Year exhibition and would like to thank Anglia Ruskin for mentoring me during the development of this work.
"I'm grateful for having the opportunity to study at the Cambridge School of Art and hopefully I can return at some point to study for a Masters in Photography."
The Travel Photographer of the Year exhibition is on display at the Royal Geographical Society in London until Saturday, 5 September, and entry is free.
