Below you'll find a list of scholarships you may be eligible for. These are split between scholarships which you will automatically be considered for and ones you will need to apply for.
Scholarships for which you’ll be considered automatically
This provides awards of either £500 or £1,000 to well-qualified students applying for any full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught courses. In some countries we offer a laptop alternative. Awards are made on the basis of academic merit. Once you apply for a course at Anglia Ruskin you’ll be automatically considered for a scholarship and details of any award given will be included in your offer letter.
We’re pleased to offer our former UK/EU students the opportunity to save £1,000 on any full taught Master’s Degree. The Alumni Postgraduate Scholarship of £1,000 is available for all full and part-time Master’s Degrees starting in 2016/7*.
Your Master’s Degree application will be automatically assessed for eligibility for the Alumni Scholarship.
If you're a former international student of Anglia Ruskin University, you’ll automatically receive this discount of £1,000 as part of your application.
* The scholarship isn’t applicable to distance learning courses or courses delivered in conjunction with collaborative partners. To be eligible for the Alumni Scholarship, all applicants must have successfully completed their award (BA, BSc, PG Cert, PGCE or PG Dip) with Anglia Ruskin University at one of our core campuses (Cambridge, Chelmsford or Peterborough). The Alumni Scholarship cannot be awarded in conjunction with the Lord Ashcroft Business School MBA Scholarship.
The scholarship can only be granted for full Master’s courses (interim awards such as Postgraduate Certificates and Diplomas are excluded).
Our Faculty of Arts Law & Social Sciences Achievement Scholarship is worth up to £1,000 per course. It’s available to current students and alumni who achieve a final classification of a 1st or 2:1 (or equivalent score) in their undergraduate degree and are accepted on to one of our taught Masters courses. Upon application for one of our taught Masters courses or PhD degrees you will be automatically assessed for eligibility to receive this scholarship.
High-achieving Anglia Ruskin undergraduate students (with an award classification of 2:1 or a 1st, or equivalent) can receive an additional £1,000 when accepted on to a Postgraduate taught (Masters) course in the Faculty of Science & Technology. All you need to do is achieve and apply - we'll do the rest.
High-achieving Anglia Ruskin undergraduate students (with an award classification of 2:1 or a 1st, or equivalent) can receive an additional £1,000 when accepted on to a Postgraduate taught (Masters) course in the Faculty of Health, Social Care & Education. All you need to do is achieve and apply - we'll do the rest.
If you are transferring from a partner institution with which we have a co-operation agreement you may receive a £1,000 transfer scholarship as a reduction of your tuition fees. At the moment we have an agreement with the London School of Accountancy.
Receive a £3,000 fee reduction if you commence studies on our MBA course in Cambridge in January 2017. Open to all students (UK/EU and International)
As a graduate of one of our Business school courses our International Progression Scholarship gives you £2,500 discount on course fees when you progress onto any of our postgraduate taught or postgraduate research courses. (Non- EU students only).
Scholarships for which you’ll need to apply
We offer the opportunity to apply for a sports scholarship worth up to £1,000 for three years. Each award is tailored to suit individual needs and combines high quality performance support services with fantastic facilities that will add value to your existing training programme. This scholarship is delivered in partnership with the British Council in India. It’s designed to support eight Indian students who are residents in India and seeking to study a postgraduate taught programme at Anglia Ruskin University.
The course must be from an approved list (please check the terms and conditions, below). Each successful student will be awarded £5,000. There will be a maximum of eight awards.
The deadline for this scholarship applications is Monday 9 January 2017.

The Global Study Awards want to ultimately encourage young people to study abroad as part of their tertiary studies in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages. That is why ISIC Association, StudyPortals and British Council IELTS are launching The Global Study Awards. The Global Study Awards recognises studying abroad as a positively life changing experience for many students, opening their minds to alternative ways of personal life and professional career, as well as promoting intercultural understanding and tolerance. In addition to the scholarships described above, you may wish to consult the joint British Council and UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) as possible sources of funding for students wishing to study in the UK. Please note that we normally award one scholarship per student. However, sometimes students are eligible for more than one scholarship.
