Collaborator on South Asian Diabetic Project from Nepal visits VERU

Dr Tirthalal Upadhyaya, an Associate Professor from Gandaki Medical College (affiliated to Tribhuvan University) Nepa,l visited the Vision and Eye Research Unit (VERU) for a research networking event from 24-28 April 2017.

Dr Upadhyaya was involved in a series of brain-storming meetings with Professor Shahina Pardhan, Dr Raju Sapkota and Dr Lavanta Farouk to identify and design future collaborative projects. Dr. Upadhyaya also gave an impressive talk on the overview of diabetes in Nepal and highlighted possible future collaborations between the Anglia Ruskin University's Vision and Eye Research Unit and his institute. VERU immensely benefited from his visit.

His visit was generously supported by the Faculty of Medical Science Research Networking Fund awarded to Dr Raju Sapkota.
