The development and implementation of a coherent corporate strategy is one of the main measures of success for an organisation. Strategy is a critical feature of the organisations wellbeing. It establishes organisational direction, service intentions and resource commitment. It is the organisations blueprint for both survival and expansion.
Understanding the nature and activities associated with strategy development and implementation is a key knowledge requirement for those in health service management. The increasing scope for local, national and international market opportunities now make this a fundamental learning and application requirement for those operating within a strategic health care role.
You will need to set aside approximately 260 hours of private study in order to accommodate the recommended learning outside of class based activities. Please ensure you have access to a computer or the internet, as several of the learning resources will be found on our virtual learning platform, including assessment submissions.

The Faculty of Medical Science, opened in 2014. Based on our riverside campus in Chelmsford and Young Street campus in Cambridge, we deliver innovative and clinically relevant teaching and research across three departments:
Thanks to our close relationships with the major clinical-care providers in the east of England, there are significant opportunities for collaboration and student placements across a variety of clinical sites.
We offer exciting opportunities for research and education in the allied health professions. We also translate science and epidemiology into health education and primary care, and deliver taught Master’s programmes to qualified medics. We have a flourishing community of PhD and MD(Res) students across all of our research fields.
Our advanced learning facilities include state-of-the-art clinical skills laboratories and simulation suites, which mirror real-life clinical situations. We also have a fantastic, modern library and a wide range of science labs and ICT suites.
