This course has been validated to include an optional Sandwich Placement year in industry.
If you’re passionate about protecting our planet, our four-year marine biology course will give you the skills you need to make a difference. Use the foundation year to build your scientific knowledge, then progress onto our BSc (Hons) degree course which is recognised by the Society of Biology.
Get 1,800 hours placement in a vets’ practice while learning scientific theory in the classroom. You’ll have lots of hands-on contact with animals and learn to provide treatment and preventative care on our Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons-accredited course. On graduation, you can apply to be a registered veterinary nurse.
Our four-year honours degree is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and will give you the skills to register as a veterinary nurse when you graduate. As part of the course, you’ll get 1800 hours placement experience. And that means plenty of hands-on contact with animals.

Our four-year Society of Biology-recognised course is ideal if you don’t have the qualifications for our BSc (Hons) in Zoology. The foundation year gives you a really good grounding in science, and then you’ll join our BSc course. After that, the world’s your oyster (or zebra, lynx or yak).
