Hard work pays off

Course: LLB (Hons) Law

13 February 2018

I studied Law at Anglia Ruskin University, and was fortunate enough to be granted the John Owens Law Scholarship. It proved that hard work really does pay off!

I was so surprised and grateful to be chosen to receive it as it really meant a lot to me. [And] it further motivated me to always work hard and reach my goal of attaining a first at the end of my three years at University.

After graduation, I hopefully aim to make use of my law degree and work for the Civil Service. Working in the public sector I believe would be very rewarding and exciting as there are so many different opportunities available. A career in the Government Social Research Service would be the ideal job. Working with people from different areas of Government on things such as social policies would be insightful, and most importantly enable me to give back to the community as a whole. This would be via research that aids the Government in implementing polices that are beneficial for society.
