ARU Students’ Union

Here at Anglia Ruskin Students' Union, we're about representation: we dedicate almost all of our resources to making sure your voice gets heard, and you get the most out of your degree.

We also give you lots of opportunities to have fun, make friends and get experience outside of the classroom. You might be interested in attending some of our fantastic social events, volunteering or working for us.

You could also join one of our societies, which range from alternative music to creative writing, and Harry Potter to Pokemon. We have course-specific societies too, where you can meet people who are studying similar subjects to you. Any student can join a society, and new members are always welcomed. If we don’t have the society you’re looking for, you can start one!

Everything we do is led by students, for students. We're independent from the University and you get to decide how we’re run and what we do. You can vote in our elections, get your voice heard through student councils or take part in campaigns. Visit our website to find out more.

If you’re studying with Anglia Ruskin in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough or as a distance learner, you'll automatically be a member of the Students’ Union.
