Our campus at Guild House, Peterborough opened in 2011. It’s a dedicated healthcare site where we train many of our region’s nurses and healthcare professionals.
Studying at Guild House means you'll be part of our smaller university community of just under 1,200 students. We offer a range of health-related courses - including adult nursing - and we’re really proud of our superb modern skills lab, complete with state-of-the-art nursing equipment designed to mirror a real-life nursing environment. If you're joining us as as student nurse, you’ll use the lab to develop your practical skills such as moving and handling, resuscitation, bed making, aseptic techniques and infection control.
We also have a specialist health library with an extensive digital library, giving you access to databases, e-journals and e-books whenever you need it. Our library has plenty of space for group work and discussion, individual silent study, multimedia, networked PCs, and wifi.
The library’s opening hours vary at different times of year, but you’ll find our friendly and expert staff on hand at reception to offer support. We also run a comprehensive programme of information and study skills training.
On the second floor of Guild House we have a café and large breakout area, where you can grab a bite to eat or catch up with friends. There’s also seating for those of you who want to enjoy some quiet time in between lectures.
Should you fancy a change of scene, you'll find more shops and cafés within a five-minute walk of Guild House. And if you’re an avid football fan, the local team (The Posh) are right in the next road.
If you’re a first-year undergraduate, the chances are you’ll live in our university houses and flats with other Anglia Ruskin students. Many of our students also live in NHS hospital accommodation while on placement, so there are plenty of opportunities to get to know people and socialise.
From Guild House, the centre of Peterborough is just across the river; visit the Living in Peterborough page for more information about things to see and do in the city.
