Proposals based on creative storytelling invited

The Cultures of the Digital Economy Research Institute (CoDE) is pleased to invite proposals for their Storylab Symposium, to be held at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, on 6 June 2017.

The symposium is designed to trigger cross-disciplinary conversations both within the academic and student community and externally through creative storytelling, and will be a day of exchanging ideas and planting seeds for future collaborative research and practice.

The theme is stories that allow us to understand complex issues, develop empathy and establish common ground, as well as eliciting participation and understanding. Storytelling itself in whatever form is a flexible concept with a broad range of applications and no universal standard for implementation. A narrative can create a platform for communication, discussion, analysis, synthesis and innovation.

Submissions are invited from practitioners who would like to showcase completed or in process research and practice (for example, interactive media, films, virtual reality, performance, music, dance, sound, text, animation, illustration based around narrative or creative storytelling.

Please email your 200-word proposal to [email protected] by 12pm, Friday 7 April 2017.
