Carlos is Director for our Professional Doctorate in Science & Technology and a Course Leader with teaching and research responsibilities at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Background

Carlos developed the newly validated Professional Doctorate in the Faculty of Science and Technology in 2017. When initially introduced, it was the first of its kind in the UK and is specifically designed for professionals who are already working full-time in the industry. Carlos has supervised five doctoral candidates to completion, three PhDs and two DProfs.

Carlos's background is in engineering, in areas such as industrial, bioengineering and building services engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer and member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (MCIBSE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).

Carlos is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) teaching modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Here at Anglia Ruskin, he is a research supervisor at undergraduate, Masters and doctoral level and a member of several research degree committees at University and Faculty level.
