About the School of Engineering and the Built Environment

Here, you'll find the largest choice of engineering and built environment courses in the East of England, many of which are accredited by professional bodies.

We're located in Chelmsford, and also offer courses across East Anglia with our regional partner institutions.

Courses

Many of our courses are accredited by professional bodies and all are developed in close collaboration with industry and with emerging technologies in mind. Our courses are accredited or prescribed by:

  • Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

In addition to providing undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses, we also train and provide research support to private and public sector organisations. We'll encourage you to gain the right work experience during your studies and support you with this, as well as offering the option of taking a sandwich year placement with an industry-relevant partner.
