Roslyn strongly believes that modern public health service is about approaching the existing health issues in a holistic way, by involving multidisciplinary professionals to address the health inequalities that exists in all aspects of health and achieve improved population health. Her experience in the hospitals, community, research, mentorship, university and qualification in nursing and public health has enabled her to gain knowledge and skills that are transferable to and relevant to population health practice.
Roslyn mostly worked in clinical setting, especially nursing in critical care setting in the last ten years. During this time she was able to also undertake a secondment post in research department for one year. She worked in community projects like health camps covering both elderly and under five clinics at Nepal (volunteered once a week). Roslyn worked in a management position (Head nurse ICU) in Saudi Arabia. She also worked in School of Nursing (SoN) as a Lecturer in India and assisted in promoting student recruitment.
Roslyn mainly teaches skills to pre-registration nursing students (adults, mental and paediatrics), Nurse Prescribers, acute care courses (A&E, critical care).
