Neil is Deputy Head of School for Film and Media at ARU. His work has been shown nationally and internationally, with screenings at the Diversions Film Festival, Edinburgh Film Festival Centre, Rodina Cinema, St Petersburg, the Onion City Film Festival, Chicago, Kettle's Yard Cambridge, The Whitechapel Gallery London, and Anthology Film Archive, New York.

Background

Neil is Principal Lecturer in Film Studies, and Module Leader for 16mm Filmmaking, Animation and Independent Cinema: U.S and Beyond.

He studied at the Kent Institute of Art and Design and the Slade School of Art.

In 2009 he was shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing prize. His work is discussed in Nicky Hamlyn's Film Art Phenomena (London: BFI, 2003).
