James works part-time at Anglia Ruskin University for the Paramedic Science team. In his clinical role James is a Resuscitation Officer at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

Background

James qualified as a Registered Nurse from ARU when it was called Anglia Polytechnic University in 2003. He worked in coronary care unit until 2007 when he joined East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust qualifying as a Paramedic in 2010.

James has significant cardiac care experience having worked in a district general hospital coronary care unit and later in the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre’s cardiac high dependency unit and heart attack service.

James’ present clinical role as a Resuscitation Officer involves attending clinical emergencies, teaching, undertaking audit, completing investigations and service development. James is a Resuscitation Council UK instructor and course director for the Advanced Life Support (ALS) and European Paediatric Life Support (EPALS) courses and an instructor in the Generic Instructor Course (GIC).

James completed his MSc Advanced Practice in 2017 and in a non-medical prescriber.
