Felicity is the Institute Manager for the Global Sustainability Institute, a multi-discipline research institute.

Background

Felicity is responsible for facilitating research and looking after the team in the GSI. With a strong administrative and organisational background, it is her job to ensure that the vision of the Director and the strategy for the institute is translated and communicated down and across all the students, staff, partners and external organisations we work with, and also to the wider public through the research seminar series, social media and community engagement activities. 

Felicity is passionate about sustainability, so loves combining her career with an area of great personal interest. Felicity tries to balance ethical, environmental and economic considerations into all aspects of her lifestyle; from food to fashion, health to holidays, energy suppliers to exercise equipment, and everything in between. Her dissertation for an MA in Conflict, Governance and Development focused on the imperative for environmental recovery in post-war reconstruction, and as a part-time PhD Researcher, she is looking at peacebuilding projects that use sport as a transformational tool for post-conflict communities.

Felicity coordinates work placements in the Working Towards Change module of our MSc Sustainability

Felicity was the Admin Project Manager for Debating Nature's Value, an Arts & Humanities Research Council funded network, and continues to support the DNV network.

Her work has also supported various other externally-funded collaborations, including the MEDEAS and SHAPE-ENERGY projects, and project managed a UKERC Whole Systems Networking Fund project, Energy-PIECES (Energy Policy Insights from Early Career Events and Secondments)
