Antonio is a nurse specialised in critical care. His PhD focused on the benefits of different types of simulation in teaching basic life support procedures to undergraduate nursing students.
Before joining Anglia Ruskin University, Antonio worked for three years at Fatima College of Health Sciences, in the United Arab Emirates, as Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing. At the same time, he held a position as Adjunct Associate Professor at Griffith University, in Australia.
From 2000, Antonio worked as contracted lecturer at University of Sacred Heart in Italy and the University of Florence, teaching several modules to undergraduate nursing students. He collaborated as visiting professor with various Spanish universities in the Erasmus framework.
In 2010, Antonio completed his PhD in Nursing. He's currently conducting a literature review to assess the effectiveness of the latest wearable technologies in preventing hospital readmission in chronic patients.
