Families can get hands-on with Anglia Ruskin’s top-class facilities in Cambridge

Youngsters can learn how to survive a zombie attack, save a life and solve a murder during an interactive event at their local university.

Children aged from 6 to 16 and their families will find a warm welcome at the Anglia Ruskin University East Road campus, to meet expert staff, tour state-of-the-art facilities and join in fun-packed workshops at this year’s UniFest.

More than 450 people have already signed up for the free event, which takes place on Saturday, 29th March from 10am until 3pm.  Families can get involved with the full programme of light-hearted and engaging activities or just drop in for the sessions that take their fancy.

Rachael Cole, Outreach and Recruitment Officer at Anglia Ruskin, said:

“We are delighted to offer opportunities like this to people living in our community. It’s an exciting and easily accessible chance for young people to have a look inside our campus, see our facilities, listen to experts and try some fun activities.
“UniFest is an event where people can just drop in whenever they want, there’s plenty of fun stuff going on throughout the day, but you should make sure you’ve got time to see it all.”

Under-16s should be accompanied by an adult, and due to the hands-on nature of some of the workshops, attendees are advised to wear suitable clothing.
