Anglia Ruskin University business school interns lend a helping hand at Sanctus
“We are incredibly thankful to the volunteers. They gave us the gift of time and came fully equipped to renovate our allotment and to paint two rooms above our charity which will allow us to rent them out and make some vital funds to support our work with the homeless.
“We were given three bags of potatoes which was the first crop from our new allotment and these have been used so far to make two freshly cooked dinners, both feeding 60 individuals in need.
“We value highly the support from Anglia Ruskin and in particular the valuable link with the Volunteering Service at the Students’ Union and the Lord Ashcroft International Business School.”
“It is important for our students to give something back to their communities and it is a pleasure to support such a vital charity in Chelmsford.
“The day was very rewarding for our students. The previously overgrown allotment was given a complete makeover, making it easier to source food for the café, and the painting will help Sanctus to increase their income on a long-term basis.”
