Event will unite past students from the various strands of what is now Anglia Ruskin University’s Faculty of Health and Social Care

Anglia Ruskin University is staging a reunion for students who have graduated from the Faculty of Health and Social Care, Homerton College and HSHS.

The event, on Thursday 10 September, will be at Anglia Ruskin’s Fulbourn campus, Cambridge. It will take the form of a number of brief presentations followed by food, informal discussions and networking.

Starting at 6pm, the event will feature speakers Professor Gordon Wishart, Consultant Breast & Endocrine Surgeon and Director of Breast Services, at the Cambridge Breast Unit, at Addenbrooke’s Hospital; and Anglia Ruskin University current student Wendy Durham.

Speaking about the event, Gordon Wishart said:

"I am delighted to have been asked to speak at this event. You make great friends during your time at University while training to be a nurse, midwife or Operating Department Practitioner and it's very important to keep in touch with past friends and reminisce over past times.  Alumni are such an important part of the University community so this is an excellent opportunity for staff at Faculty of Health and Social Care to see a number of past students and to see where their careers have taken them to."

Speaking on behalf of Anglia Ruskin’s Faculty of Health and Social Care, Jonathan Secker said:

"We want this first reunion event to be a success so would appeal to anyone in touch with old classmates who have lost contact with us to let them know and all come along."
