Postgraduate Open Day will introduce many new subjects.
A Postgraduate Open Day at Anglia Ruskin University will introduce people considering furthering their career or studying a special subject to many new programmes of learning within the Faculty of Arts Law & Social Sciences.
The event, for graduates from all over the East of England, for soon-to-be graduates or those returning to study, will take place on 18 June (4.00pm-7.00pm) at the University’s East Road Campus, Cambridge. Discussions and activities will take place to help to reveal the many Postgraduate options available.
Members of the University's teaching and administrative staff will be on hand to offer information to help visitors to make informed decisions about course structure and advise on programme start dates. For those wishing to advance their learning by undertaking a research degree, the event will provide an opportunity to have their questions answered and clarify their options.
A wide range of Master of Arts courses from the Faculty of Arts, Law & Social Sciences will be showcased during the day including Applied Linguistics, Applied Social Science Research, Children’s Book Illustration, Creative Writing, English, Intercultural Communication in Europe, Music Therapy, Pastoral Theology and Printmaking. Added to which there are courses covering Business Law and Legal practice.
New courses for September 2008 include an MA in Contemporary Theatre, MA in Creative Music Technology for Media, MA Film Studies, and an MA in Publishing.
Academics from the Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences are able to supervise a wide range of specialist research topics and are happy to discuss individual interests.
Anglia Ruskin University undergraduate Open Days generally attract around 1000 prospective students to the campus plus members of their family and friends. When considering options at Postgraduate level, Anglia Ruskin University recognises the importance of individual needs and interests and this event provides the opportunity to discuss issues on a one-to-one basis.
