Anglia Ruskin to host Open Day at Cambridge campus on 8 October
Anglia Ruskin University is holding an undergraduate Open Day on Saturday, 8 October to help explain the upcoming changes to student finance – as well as offer an opportunity to explore the new Cambridge campus.
The new finance system comes into effect for those applying to start university next year and the Open Day will feature specific finance talks explaining the impact of the new fees structure and student loans arrangements.
Chris Jones, Anglia Ruskin’s Open Day coordinator, said:
Key members of each Faculty and support service will be on hand to answer questions, while current students will talk about their experiences of studying at Anglia Ruskin.
The Open Day will also include tours of the new-look Cambridge campus, which features a £35 million redevelopment generously supported by Lord Ashcroft KCMG, Anglia Ruskin’s Chancellor. The new building wraps around the centre of the campus, linking existing facilities including the University Library and Mumford Theatre.
As well as housing the Lord Ashcroft International Business School, the new facilities include a 400-seat lecture theatre, two 200-seat lecture theatres, a new rehearsal space, cafe and an open-access area with 250 computers.
Anglia Ruskin Open Days usually attract between 800-1,000 prospective students to the campus, plus members of their family and friends. There are four Open Days staged throughout the year.Anyone interested in attending the 8 October Open Day, which runs from 10am-3pm, can pre-register online at www.anglia.ac.uk/openday or simply turn up on the day.
