A series of classical concerts presented by Anglia Ruskin University’s Department of Music and Performing Arts will culminate with an evening concert on 13 December at West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge, featuring works by Ravel and Rossini.
Percy Grainger's luminously beautiful arrangement of Ravel's La Vallée des Cloches opens the final concert of this series, and is partnered by Ravel's equally masterful orchestration of his own Mother Goose Suite. The concert concludes with a performance of Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, a joyous collision of the sacred and the operatic.
Conductors the Anglia Symphony Orchestra will be Paul Rhys and Alan Rochford.
