University polls higher than sector average in 2018 National Student Survey results

Final-year students at Anglia Ruskin University have rated it highly for teaching, academic support and assessment and feedback, in the latest National Student Survey.

A total of 3,332 Anglia Ruskin students responded to the survey – a response rate of 78% of the total number of students eligible to complete it. Overall, Anglia Ruskin received a satisfaction rating of 84%, one per cent higher than both its 2017 score and the 2018 sector average.

Students across the UK were asked to rate their institution by completing questions about eight different categories. In seven of them, Anglia Ruskin scored higher than the sector average.

Professor Iain Martin, Vice Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University, said: “It is testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff that, once again, our final year students have rated every aspect of their educational experience, from teaching and academic support to assessment and feedback, above the regional and sector average.

It was also heartening to read that, for the second year running, our students know their voice is heard and we value their opinion.  It demonstrates that the work we’re doing, with the Students’ Union, is creating a learning community which encourages active student learning, engagement, and ultimately success.”

The Office for Students will formally publicise individual course data on the Unistats website on 30 August.
