Centre for Financial Research (CFR)

CFR is at the heart of the debate on the role of finance, accounting, supply chain and project management in the development of inclusive and sustainable societies.

Launched in June 2017, CFR uses a range of multidisciplinary research approaches to contribute to leading financial research. Our team’s expertise covers a wide range of areas so that we can apply leading academic thinking to contemporary issues with a focus on the relevance for the wider economy and society.

Research undertaken by the centre will have implications for organisational stakeholders, such as financial institutions, corporations and government. It will also support all areas of society who are affected by financial decisions. This research is wide-ranging and focuses on issues that are local and national, as well as international.

Objectives

  1. To contribute to debates about current issues in finance using a range of multidisciplinary research.
  2. To explore the relevance of accounting, supply chain and project management for the wider economy and society as a whole.
  3. To inform organisational stakeholders, such as financial institutions, corporations and government.
  4. To give a voice to all segments of society who are affected by financial decisions.
  5. To examine a wide range of current research to ensure focus on both local and regional issues, through to international.

Current projects

The Centre is working on Financial Scandals in Drug Trials with the US Food and Drug Administration. We are also currently involved in Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP).

We’re seeking more opportunities to undertake research projects. If you are interested in collaborating with us, please contact us on laibs-info@anglia.ac.uk.
