Supporting your business with strong commercial links, locally and internationally, the Business School at Anglia Ruskin University is committed to helping you achieve your goals.
You can rely on our Business School, like the organisations who already share long-standing and valued partnerships with us. We collaborate with the Ministry of Defence, regional small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and local authorities. Our growing reputation inspires trust in leading brands such as Barclays Bank, UPS and Harrods. This broad range of collaborations and the core expertise of our people means our partnerships are personal and flexible.
We apply the latest academic thinking to help support you by constantly interacting with contemporary business issues. This is reinforced by strong connections to the city, with London transport links and our academics’ diverse business backgrounds - from PricewaterhouseCoopers, to Forbes and The Economist.
What’s more, you can develop your expertise through recognised qualifications with reliable content. Many of our courses are also recognised by organisations, such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), and a large number are professionally accredited.
The Business School Advisory Board influences the strategy and development of the Business School. It benefits from the skills, experience, contacts and advice of members who are expert senior figures from the worlds of business, investment, public policy and research:
Working in partnership with Barclays PLC, the Business School has developed an innovative, three year work-based BA (Hons) Degree in Management and Leadership, which forms the academic route for the Barclays Degree Programme. Launched in 2008, successful candidates secure employment with Barclays while studying for their degree. In September 2013, the partnership extended with the Certificate in Leadership programme, the academic route for the Level 4 Apprentice programme and internal talent pipeline. The programme is a highly attractive prospect for both existing and new talent within the company.
An exciting new Alliance between Anglia Ruskin University’s Business School, Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Local Enterprise Partnership and Allia. With a focus on leading innovative approaches to sustainable economic growth, the Alliance tackles some of the big challenges currently faced by society. Active projects include “silver economy” solutions to alleviate our ageing population care crisis, sustainable local energy strategy building and new business models. Such novel approaches bring the Business School’s research and development expertise into sharp focus, shaping innovation, new business models and policy impact.
Through our Degrees at Work initiative we offer tailored, ELCAS accredited online courses for serving members of the British Armed Forces. As part of the 2013-2017 Tri-Service University Short Course Programme (USCP), the unique work-based learning degrees can be studied alongside work to prepare members for progression both within and outside of the organisation.
Providing courses such as MA Data Centre Leadership and Management and BSc (Hons) Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care, we are committed to delivering high quality training to the RAF, British Army and Royal Navy and our lasting partnership is testimony to its continued success.
The Business School’s partnership with UPS allows employees to gain qualifications that support their personal and professional development within the company. The undergraduate and postgraduate work-based leadership programme was launched in 2010 and expanded to Europe in February 2017. Now with approximately 180 students on the UPS programme, we’ve also launched a small Master’s group specifically for senior managers.
This development shows the strength of our partnership, reflected in the latest National Student Survey. In the survey, the most recent UPS UK Students rated their experience of the programme as 100% overall satisfaction.
Our personalised approach means we can offer a bespoke qualification route for talent that enhances the UPS brand within Europe. Blending theory with practice, our approach is contextualised to the business and the sector. This allows us to focus on organisational objectives which are aligned to individual knowledge, practice and skills acquisition and their transferability to the business.
