Greg's areas of academic and management interests and expertise are Organisational Development, International Business particularly the internationalisation of SMES, Cross Culture and leadership development and Open Innovation and SMES.
Greg's background is as a corporate lawyer and a qualified accountant holding several senior finance and business development positions up to corporate finance director level in UK PLCs. He has more recently worked as a management consultant in the Nordic and Baltic rim countries and in most of the world at some point. Greg has been a director in charge of international development and managing director in several consultancies and has started several consulting and import-export companies. Greg's focus is innovative global team development. His post-doctoral research agenda has been in the practice of democracy and equality in organisations and open innovation and collaboration in small companies based on trust and the application of concepts from chaos and complexity theory. He has been leading the research on behalf of ARU in a €2.7m EU funded project into improving the success of innovative SMEs in the field of Assistive Technology through the study of ‘Open Innovation’ and the ‘Triple Helix’ in practice.
