A Day in the Life

A day in the life of an ARU student
Before coming to ARU, I always wondered and imagined what university life was like. Now as a university student, it’s great to have the opportunity to let those who have the curiosity like I had experience it first-hand

Pei, an Education Studies student taking part in the scheme

As much as open days are a vital tool in finding out more about a course and the campus itself, students rarely get to see is what really happens on a day-to-day basis within the university. Our new buddy scheme aims to tackle that, to offer an insight into what Anglia Ruskin is all about.

Essentially you'll be assigned a first-year student ‘buddy’ to shadow for the day, who you'll have the opportunity to attend lectures, seminars and explore the campus with. You'll see what a typical day for an Anglia Ruskin student is, and have the chance to ask your buddy anything about the course and their experience so far.

We’re currently only trialling this event for Education Studies (Chelmsford) and Social Policy (Cambridge).
