Nicola is a tutor for the promotion of Clinical Skills in a simulated safe environment, allowing the students to practice and acquire skills with minimal risk.

Background

Nicola is a current registered nurse, with a background in emergency care and assessment who has worked in an Emergency Department, Medical Assessment Unit, Stroke Unit and as a Clinical Educator in Practice, before joining Anglia Ruskin University.
Nicola has an interested in Human Factors and Simulation and tries to work these factors into teaching in the learning environment. Nicola was nominated and shortlisted for two teaching awards in the Make a Difference Awards 2018.
She is undertaking a Masters in Medical and Healthcare Education and a PGCert.

Teaching

Nicola is involved in the teaching of Clinical Skills to all Pre-registration BSc Nursing Students and has some involvement with CPD modules and the Nursing Associates. Nicola also undertakes some classroom-based teaching.
