Antenatal care of multiple pregnancies, Antenatal parent education (specifically hypnobirth) and Newborn and Infant Physical Examination.
Prior to working at ARU, Annie worked for two years as the specialist midwife for multiple pregnancies, planning and providing antenatal care and delivering specialist parent education.
During this time Annie specialised in planning and providing antenatal parent education, with a particular interest in hypnobirth.
Prior to this, Annie worked as a case loading community midwife, planning and delivering antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care. Annie is a NIPE practitioner, and during her time in practice was involved in ensuring the achievement of the national screening committees’ key performance indicators Trust wide.
Annie has also spent time teaching midwifery skills in rural Bangladesh.
Annie is currently teaching clinical skills on the BSc (Hons) Midwifery programme as part of the Fundamental Midwifery Skills Module and Fundamentals of midwifery practice one and two. In previous job roles Annie has developed and taught ‘drill and skills’ and specialist parent education in clinical practice. This year Annie will be undertaking her PGcert in higher education.
