Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust primarily serves a population of 405,000 in south-west Essex covering Basildon and Thurrock, together with parts of Brentwood and Castle Point.
The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre is also part of the Trust, providing a full range of tertiary cardiothoracic services for the whole county and further afield.
East & North Hertfordshire NHS Trust (QEII & Lister Hospitals)
East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust comprises of four hospital sites; Hertford County hospital, Hertford; The Lister hospital, Stevenage; Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Northwood; and The QEII hospital, Welwyn Garden City.
Hinchingbrooke Hospital is a district general hospital providing health care for the people of Huntingdonshire and surrounding areas. More than 160,000 people rely on the hospital for a range of services.
Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust
Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute and community based services to a local population of approximately 380,000.
It also provides regional upper gastrointestinal (upper GI) surgical services, a national profile plastics service and regional head and neck services, in addition to a supra regional burns service (St Andrew's centre for plastic surgery and burns).
Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides acute services from its main Prittlewell Chase site and at outlying satellite clinics across the region. With nearly 700 inpatient beds, alongside its outpatient services, the Trust serves a local population of 338,800.
