Responsible Futures - Dissertation Prize

Anglia Ruskin University is an accredited Responsible Futures institution.This demonstrates our commitment to providing a university experience which helps prepare our students to be responsible global citizens.

As part of this commitment we have launched a prize for:

  • The best sustainability-related undergraduate dissertation/major project
  • The best sustainability-related taught postgraduate/major project

Eligibility and criteria

The prizes are open to any student who submits a dissertation/major project as part of their degree that directly addresses the University’s sustainability learning outcomes (Academic Regulations 2016, p26–31).

Submissions

On submitting their dissertations, students must write 200-500 words indicating how their dissertation links to sustainability and send this to their Module leaders informing them they would like to be entered into the prize. 

One dissertation per department is submitted by the Head of Department by email attachment to efs@anglia.ac.uk. Submissions should include the student’s SID and degree course as well as the 200-500 word written piece. 

Submissions will be judged by staff from the Global Sustainability Institute (GSI)

Deadline for submissions: 

Undergraduate - 29th June 2018 

Postgraduate - 21st December 2018 

Previous winners 

The 2016-17 Undergraduate dissertation prize was awarded to BSc (Hons.) Business Management student, Joe Ball, for his dissertation entitled: Assessing Neighbourly Limited's approach to corporate social responsibility, stakeholders and sustainability reporting
