As a Project Manager, Lenke provides technical assistance and research support to GSI Research Fellows while developing, maintaining and ensuring the timely delivery of project outputs, within budget and to required quality.



Lenke joined the GSI in 2017 as part of the team running the Social Sciences and Humanities for Advancing Policy in European Energy (SHAPE ENERGY). This project brings together European energy researchers and practitioners to provide the European Commission with recommendations for the future direction of the energy work programme in the European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (Horizon 2020).

Lenke’s background is in agricultural economics and nature conservation. She has worked extensively in rural development in eastern Europe and Central Asia. Before moving to the GSI, Lenke used to manage the Capacity Development Programme for South-East Europe at the Royal Society for Protection of Birds (RSPB). Lenke is also a Global Fellow of the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).

Lenke is fluent in Hungarian, Romanian, English, and speaks basic Spanish, German and Italian
